UpdateChecker replaces the stored checker configuration in full. There is no DeleteChecker: reset a problem to plain comparison by updating the checker to the line-by-line type, and keep in mind that a problem with neither checker nor interactor cannot grade. A program checker runs only for solutions which finished without a runtime error, timeout or memory violation.
